Why NC
Built for people who move files all day
Webmasters, developers and photographers spend hours uploading, comparing and fixing files. NC puts local and remote folders in one window and every action one key away.
⚡
Fast and parallel
Up to 6 transfers at once with progress, speed and a cancel button per job. Folders are planned first, so conflicts are asked once, not file by file.
↻
Never loses the thread
If the connection drops, NC logs in again by itself and carries on. Remote folders refresh on their own, so a file deleted on the server disappears from the pane.
Connections
Every protocol, saved once
Save a server and reach it from either pane. The pane shows the connection name and host, just like you expect from a professional FTP client.
FTP, FTPS and SFTP
- Plain FTP, FTPS explicit and FTPS implicit
- SFTP with password, keyboard-interactive or private key
- Host keys trusted on first use; a changed key is refused
- Certificate checks on by default
Your secrets stay private
- Passwords are encrypted inside the app, never in the macOS Keychain
- Import your connections from other FTP clients
- Open the connection list any time with F9 or ⌘K
Keyboard first
The classic function keys, redesigned
The key bar shows what each key does and greys out what is not available for the current selection.
F2 Rename F3 View F4 Edit F5 Copy F6 Move F7 New Folder F8 Delete F9 Connect F10 Optimize F11 Archive F12 Extract
Prefer the mouse? Everything is also in the right-click menu and the toolbar. Switch each pane between a detailed list (⌘1) and an icon view with real thumbnails (⌘2).
Edit & preview
Open, fix and save, right on the server
✎️
Code editor
Syntax colours for PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL, Swift and more. XML is formatted for you. ⌘S saves and uploads the file back to the server.
🖼️
Viewers
Images, PDF, Office documents, audio, video and zip preview, with a hex view as a last resort.
🔍
Search like Spotlight
On your Mac, search uses the same Spotlight index as Siri, by name or by content, and updates as you type. On servers NC walks the folders for you.
Pro tools
